SLow Page
A moment to unwind in the city.
Located in Kyoto's Kamigyo Ward, SLow Page is a relaxed cafe sitting right beside a bookstore, serving toasted sandwiches, spiced curries, desserts, smoothies, and late refreshments.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Sitting right next to a bookstore, SLow Page invites guests to linger as unhurriedly as if turning the pages of a novel. Morning service starts at 8:30, offering toasted sandwiches filled with rich egg salad or ham and red cheddar, alongside buttered toast and pizza toast sets paired with sausage and salad. Accompanied by house blend coffee, it makes for a quiet, gentle start to the day.
At lunchtime, set meals bundled with salad and a beverage provide an easy choice. Alongside staple toasted sandwiches like tuna melt and teriyaki chicken, the kitchen prepares an original curry balancing 17 spices and 4 types of fruit, as well as pasta dishes such as house-made Bolognese and classic cafe-style Neapolitan. Those seeking a heartier meal can opt for pork katsu curry, offering plenty of flexibility depending on the mood.
For an afternoon break, dessert toasted sandwiches stuffed with sweet red bean paste and butter or banana with milk chocolate share the counter with pancakes topped with mascarpone cream. Guests can also pair drinks with chilled treats such as an affogato, house-made coffee jelly, or cakes selected straight from the display case. The beverage selection is equally broad, featuring royal milk tea brewed with Ronnefeldt leaves, hojicha lattes sourced from Wazuka in Kyoto, matcha smoothies, and espresso smoothies.
Service is self-ordered and paid at the counter, with seating choices including counter spots, indoor tables, and an open terrace. Remaining open until 23:00, the cafe also serves beer, highballs, and cocktails alongside casual bites like pizza and french fries—convenient for a quick drink while reading or at the end of the day.
